This morning, my mother called over to me, "Can you Google calendula flowers and see if they are edible?" I did, and they are! Suddenly, I was being charged with picking calendula flowers, washing them off, and plucking petals for our salad this evening.
We are what we eat. Our bodies are built from the actual elements we put into our mouths. More than that, however, we are the other things that this food is. When we eat mindfully, we are present, we are fresh, we are beautiful, we are flavourful, we are a kindness to ourselves and to the earth.
What are you eating today? How will what you eat affect you? And how will who you are affect what you eat?
