My MOVEMENT today was sitting on the floor in different positions, a small amount of kitchen work, and a couple of chin ups (I've put a chin up bar in my bathroom doorframe, so every time I go to the bathroom I hang on it a bit). Oh, and I taught Kids Yoga today (first class back this season, and there's still a couple of spots if your 6 – 11 year old is wanting to join us).
My EXERCISE today was some yoga this morning, and my 5k walk this evening. My exercise of the day felt sufficient, but my movement did not.
I think that a lot of us have this problem. Particularly those who work at desks (sitting), and commute to work (sitting). How many hours a day do most people lack movement. Even a standing desk, although it takes the body out of a bad position, can be sedentary. And then we go exercise, which is intense movement.
I'm lucky that most of my life is not this way, that I am able in incorporate movement into most of my day, so that exercise is a smaller part of my movement. How much are you able to move?
