It wasn't until I got to the afternoon and was welcoming someone to class that I remembered that today is 9/11, 15 years later. It brought a levity to the day, to my reflecting on the day, to the things that matter.
And on the evening 5k walk, which I've just returned from, that it what we talked about. There's the recent news of North Korea's nuclear bombs, and South Korea's announcement today of its plans to annihilate Pyongyang if it feels threatened. There's the upcoming US election and the possibility of Donald Trump winning (come on American neighbours and vote Hillary!). The world is a scary place. Today I'm grateful for my wonderful partner, my beautiful children, my loving parents, my amazing friends, my fabulous community, my great country.
Yes, we did also talk about the role of the glute max in walking, but mostly it was political. Tomorrow, back to some anatomy. Keep walking!
