Today I walked to my friend Cindy's for a trade. I've been designing a logo for her, and in exchange I got a massage. I'm lucky to have several friends who have become RMTs, and who like to trade. It was interesting to notice how my walking changed pre and post massage. I'm not sure if it was new sensory awareness, or if it was shifts that had occurred during the treatment, but my walk home felt different, even in parts of my body that she hadn't worked on as much.
Cindy has great massage hands. She's very sensitive; firm but gentle. She's going to be opening a new clinic with her partner in a few months. When it's open, I'll be sure to let you know where to find her.
I'm a Yoga Teacher in Toronto who's investigating healthy movement for the body. As a part of this exploration, I've decided to do more intentional movement, including walking 5km (3.1miles or about an hour) each day.
